Nylon Polypropylene FIBRASOL™ - Micro Fiber (In-Stock)
FIBRASOL is a monofilament, polyester microfiber for concrete reinforcement designed for secondary reinforcement and superior finishability. The increase in tensile strength with FIBRASOL fibers is sufficient to resist the tensile stresses which are a function of early shrinkage. As a result, micro-shrinkage cracks are prevented from developing into larger unsightly and detrimental cracks.
FIBRASOL™ F - Micro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
FIBRASOL F is a collated fibrillated polypropylene fiber designed to provide integral secondary reinforcement of concrete. FIBRASOL F fibers are engineered and manufactured from virgin polypropylene exclusively for use in concrete and cementitious based products.
FIBRASOL™ II P - Micro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
FIBRASOL IIP (2P) is a synthetically extruded monofilament polypropylene fiber, compared to conventional polypropylene fibers which are produced in sheet form and manufactured in fibrillated bundles. This results in improved finishability and a more uniform dispersion of the FIBRASOL IIP polypropylene fibers throughout the concrete than is normally obtained with conventional polypropylene fibers. The increase in tensile strength with FIBRASOL IIP fibers is sufficient to resist the tensile stresses which are a function of early shrinkage. As a result micro-shrinkage cracks are prevented from developing into larger unsightly and detrimental cracks. For optimum performance, use FIBRASOL II P fibers in the 1.5 inch (38 mm) length.
FIBRASOL™ IIP Multi-Plus - Micro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
FIBRASOL IIP MULTI-PLUS (2P) is a synthetically extruded polypropylene fiber, compared to conventional polypropylene fibers which are produced in sheet form and manufactured in fibrillated bundles. This results in improved finishability and a more uniform dispersion of the FIBRASOL IIP MULTI-PLUS polypropylene fibers throughout the concrete than is normally obtained with conventional polypropylene fibers. In independent testing, FIBRASOL II P MULTI-PLUS polypropylene fiber has demonstrated a plastic shrinkage reduction of 75% compared to 67.4% for FIBRASOL II P polypropylene fibers at a dosage of 1.0 lbs./yd3 (0.6 kg/m3). This increase in plastic shrinkage reduction with FIBRASOL II P MULTI-PLUS is the result of an increase in multidimensional reinforcement with the increase in fibers per pound (0.45 kg) from 14 million to 54 million.
FIBRASOL™ N - Micro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
FIBRASOL N is a pre-packaged monofilament nylon micro-fiber for for use as secondary reinforcement in concrete. Manufactured from 100% virgin nylon (polyamides), FIBRASOL N is engineered to sufficiently resist the high alkaline environment of Portland cement concrete. Designed to outperform other synthetic secondary concrete reinforcement, this monofilament fiber possesses excellent UV stability and high tensile strength.
MAXIMA - Macro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
MAXIMA is a polyester, macro fiber designed for maximum performance as a replacement for welded wire mesh (WWM). MAXIMA marco fibers are engineered for use in a wide range of concrete applications, from industrial slabs on grade to precast structures.
PERFORMAX™ - Macro Fiber (special order – minimum quantities)
PERFORMAX Macro Synthetic Reinforcing Fiber is manufactured from a proprietary blend of polyolefin resins, and is in compliance with ASTM C 1116 "Standard Specification for Fiber- Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete." PERFORMAX Macro Fibers are specifically engineered for use as secondary reinforcement. PERFORMAX fibers are designed to provide secondary reinforcement plus post-first crack benefits defined by ASTM Test Method C 1399.
As defined by the Project Specifications/ Application Requirements, PERFORMAX fiber can replace conventional secondary reinforcement, such as welded wire fabric, light gauge rebar and steel fibers.

Sarjeants has a fleet of 10 conveyor trucks that extend 39 feet to where you are placing your concrete, drastically reducing placement time and backbreaking labour.
The Sarjeant Company is pleased to service Muskoka with 2 concrete pumps - one with a 38 metre boom the other with a 36 metre boom - capable of placing concrete in excess of 100 feet from the pump.

If you are looking for a pump in the Simcoe County area, The Sarjeant Company would be pleased to recommend a pump operator - just give our sales staff a call, or fill out the Quick Contact Form on the Home screen.
Sarjeants sells recycled aggregate which is made from crushing removed/demolished concrete. The recycled concrete product, or RCP, meets or exceeds all standards and specifications. Note that Sarjeants does not use recycled concrete aggregate in any of its concrete mix designs.
Concrete recycling helps protect natural resources and eliminate the need for disposal by using the readily available concrete as an aggregate source for new concrete or other applications. It’s a relatively simple process which involves breaking, removing, and crushing existing concrete into a material with a specified size and quality.
Call us for prices and sizes on Sarjeant’s recycled concrete aggregate, and feel free to browse the topics below for more information on recycled concrete.
In general, applications without any processing include:
Most of the unprocessed crushed concrete aggregate is sold as 19 mm (¾“) or 50 mm (2“) fraction for pavement subbases.
Recycling concrete provides sustainability several different ways. The simple act of recycling the concrete reduces the amount of material that must be landfilled. As space for landfills becomes premium, this not only helps reduce the need for landfills, but also reduces the economic impact of the project. Moreover, using recycled concrete aggregates reduces the need for virgin aggregates. By removing both the waste disposal and new material production needs, transportation requirements for the project are significantly reduced.
In addition to the resource management aspect, recycled concrete aggregates absorb a large amount of carbon dioxide from the surrounding environment. The natural process of carbonation occurs in all concrete from the surface inward. In the process of crushing concrete to create recycled concrete aggregates, areas of the concrete that have not carbonated are exposed to atmospheric carbon dioxide.
The LEED® Green Building Rating System recognizes recycled concrete in its point system. Credit 4 (Materials and Resources) states, “specify a minimum of 25% of building materials that contain in aggregate a minimum weighted average of 20% post-consumer recycled content material, OR, a minimum weighted average of 40% post-industrial recycled content material.” Using recycled aggregates instead of extracted aggregates would qualify as post-consumer. Because concrete is an assembly, its recycled content should be calculated as a percentage of recycled material on a mass basis.
Credit can also be obtained for Construction Waste Management. It is awarded based on diverting at least 50% by mass of construction, demolition, and land clearing waste from landfill disposal. Concrete is a relatively heavy construction material and is frequently recycled into aggregate for road bases or construction fill. See Building Green with Concrete: Points for Concrete in LEED® for more information on the LEED® rating system.

| Myths | Reality |
| Concrete cannot be recycled | Although concrete is not broken down into its constituent parts, it can be recovered and crushed for reuse as aggregate (for use in subbases or as general bulk fills, for example) |
| Although some concrete can be recycled it is not possible to achieve high rates | Countries such as the Netherlands and Japan achieve near 100% recivery of waste concrete. |

A video put together by The Sarjeant Co. with only a couple of highlights from 2011. Enjoy!…
The Sarjeant Company, in conjunction with the MacLaren Art Center, commissioned a local artist to visit four local schools and design art for our concrete mixer drums. The Sarjeant Company gave no content criterion, just the suggestion that it incorporate something to do with their school.
Mixer drums are a particularly interesting canvas because they rotate clockwise and counter clockwise and, of course, their industrial purpose and wide audience on the raods of Simcoe-Muskoka. The students work was displayed at the gallery on ingenious rotating cylinders built by Tim, the …
At approximately 6:15 PM on Wednesday June 23rd a tornado touched down in Midland Ontario. Our plant and cardlock sustained heavy damage. Our concrete plant will almost certainly need to be completely rebuilt. It is our primary concern to ensure this has no adverse effect of our customers.
