Sarjeants offers a range of convenient and high-value service plans which are designed to keep your furnace running smoothly without the hassle of you having to remember to get it cleaned and serviced. Depending on the plan that you choose, options range from a basic service and clean to a parts discounts and protection plans to free no-heat diagnostic checkups.

BRONZE SERVICE PLAN

$199.00 Annually (or $39.80 for 5 months) + hst

 

  1. Service Burner - clean and adjust assembly
  2. Clean fire side heating surfaces
  3. Check the flue pipe and base chimney
  4. Lubricate oil burner motor
  5. Run and check system for proper operation
  6. Annual tune-up during regular working hours
  7. Cleaning or replacing nozzle, pump strainer and fuel filter during annual tune-up (if necessary)
  8. Clean glass gauge during annual tune-up

Silver Service Plan

$288.00 Annually (or $57.60 for 5 months) + hst

All of the above PLUS the Parts Protection Plan

  4. Priority Service
  5. 5% off HVAC Equipment (A/C; furnace; HRV; air cleaner; humidifier)

Conditions Governing Service Plans

  1. Service to be provided hereunder does not include emergency service without charge unless otherwise stated in plan, for burner failures resulting from the following: electric power failures, switches in “off” position, thermostat set below house temperature, water in the basement, failure to maintain proper water level, water in fuel tank, inadequate oil supply when customers refused automatic delivery, or whose delivery is being held due to failure to meet our credit limits. 
  2. Buyer agrees not to hold Seller responsible hereunder for any work on chimney, piping, dust, radiators, boiler, furnace, boiler or furnace accessories, thermostats, circulating pump bearing assemblies, cartridge type circulating pumps, fans, low water cut off controls, clogged oil lines and/or filters due to excessive sludge conditions in fuel tanks, equipment that has become obsolete, or for any portion of the heating       system which is not covered by this agreement. 
  3. Buyer agrees not to hold Seller responsible for any failure of the burner or equipment, nor from damages resulting from delays or inability to perform service or supply parts caused by or resulting from any cause not reasonably within our control. 
  4. Seller reserves the right to cancel this agreement and to reimburse Buyer for price paid by Buyer to Seller after inspection of the burner or burners involved less value of services rendered.
  5. Seller and Buyer agree that there are no promises, terms, conditions or obligations not herein written which are part of this agreement. 
  6. Plan is not in force if payment is delinquent or if not a current heating oil customer. Any balance over 30 days will be subject to a finance charge unless pre-arranged through Payment Plan.
  7. Annual tune-ups are scheduled from May through October. All dates requested for annual tune-ups must be received before November 1st. Annual tune-ups are scheduled as close to the requested date as possible 
  8. Regular hourly rates will apply if service call is received between 8:00AM - 4:00PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Any service calls received during or after regular business hours, and requested to be scheduled after regular service hours, will be billed at overtime rates. All hourly rates include travel time to job within a minimum of one (1) hour labour charge. Any service calls requested between 5:00 PM - 7:00AM will be charged at after hours rate. 
  9. Prices are quoted per heating unit. Any building with two (2) or more separate heating units must be enrolled in a  plan for each unit. Exception: In a residential home, consisting of three (3) dwelling units or less, an oil fired hot water heater and boiler/furnace combination, will be included in one (1) Service plan agreement.
  10. Service plans are effective from September 1st through August 31st of the following year. Enrolment cards must be received before September 15th. Any enrolment card received after Sept. 15th will be considered a late arrival and will not be adjusted for coverage time lost. 
  11. Service Plans Automatically Renews Sept 15 the following year

John O. Elliott, 1931-2012

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of The Sarjeant Company Chairman, John O. Elliott, who died peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, June 19th.

 

Friends may visit at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012. A private family service will be held at Midhurst Union Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com.

Sarjeant’s HVAC Division Goes Above & Beyond

 

The Sarjeant Co. and John Bennet appear in today’s Barrie Advance for their generosity towards Hazel McDougal, they 93 year old Barrie resident who was struggling to battle the heat and humidity until John found her a window air conditioner (a very tricky feat in the thick of Summer!) and then installed it for her.  She’s now much more comfortable!
