Administration & Finance Co-op Student The Sarjeant Company LTD.
Primary Responsibilities:
- • Responsible for accurate posting of customer payments and working with the credit department to resolve any issues as they arise
• Prepare cheque batches daily as well as matching and posting the payments to accounts
• Communicate with different departments and plants to ensure proper communication on payments being collected
• Assist with assigned account reconciliations and advise Accounting Specialist of any issues
• Receive payments over the phone from customers
• Assist the credit department with opening customer accounts, contacting customers, providing documentation to customers and any other items requested to support the credit team
• Other administrative duties as requested to support the company
Qualifications/Skills:
- • Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent time management, attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• General accounting skills
• Enrollment in a business or accounting program is preferred
• We are looking for someone who has high attention to detail, good customer service skills and can multitask
• An individual enrolled in a business or accounting program is preferred.
Job Type: Paid Internship/Co-op
Contract Length: 4 months
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 24-40 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Work Location: In Person
