Oldest Furnace Contest Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Eligibility:
The Oldest Furnace Contest (the “Contest”) is open exclusively to legal residents of Simcoe and Muskoka, Canada, who are at least 18 years of age and own a home in the area that is heated by an oil, natural gas, or propane furnace installed in 2004 or earlier, which serves as the primary heat source for the home. Please note that if the prize winner chooses to switch from an old oil furnace to a new propane or natural gas furnace, any additional conversion fees will be the winner’s responsibility and will not be covered by the sponsor. If switching from natural gas to propane, additional incentives may apply, as offered by Sarjeant Propane, a division of Sarjeant Co. Ltd. Employees of Sarjeant and their immediate families are ineligible to participate. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

How to Enter: To enter the Contest, complete the online entry form in full and provide details on your Furnace unit, including brand, model, and approximate installation date. All entries must be received by 10/31/2024 to be eligible. Limit one (1) entry per household. Any attempt to obtain additional entries by using multiple email addresses or otherwise will void all entries from that household.

Judging and Notification: Finalists will be selected based on the Furnace unit details provided. Finalists will be notified by phone and/or email and will be required to allow an in-home inspection by Sarjeants’ technicians to verify the Furnace unit’s age. The entrant with the oldest Furnace unit still in working order, as determined by Sarjeants’ technicians, will be declared the winner. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email by 11/05/2024.

Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize replaces the winner’s existing Furnace equipment with new, modern Propane or Natural Gas Lennox Furnace equipment. No cash or other substitution is allowed except by the Sponsor in the event of prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or more excellent value will be awarded. The Grand Prize is non-transferable. The winner is responsible for all federal, provincial, and local taxes associated with prize receipt and/or use. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Social Media and Promotional Consent: By entering the Oldest Furnace Contest, the winner explicitly agrees to participate in promotional activities, including but not limited to being featured in social media posts, photographs, and videos related to the Contest, without any further compensation. The winner grants Sarjeants the right to use their name, image, likeness, and Furnace unit details for promotional and marketing purposes during and after the Contest period.

General Conditions: By entering, each entrant agrees to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the Contest itself and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final in all matters related to the Contest. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner agrees to release the Sponsor and its agencies from any liability for injuries, losses or damages resulting from participation in this Contest or from the acceptance, possession or use of the Grand Prize. The sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing the offer, administering the contest, or announcing the prize.
