The Ontario portion of the Timiskaming Dam Complex, located 65 kilometres northeast of North Bay, Ontario, was more than a 100 old and needed to be replaced.
In order to do so, a barrier had to be put in place to hold back the Ottawa River to allow for safe, and accurate repairs to the dam. Custom Concrete Northern provided approximately 10,000m3 of concrete and portable laboratory services for the construction of the replacement of the Timiskaming dam, a $32.9 million dam project completed in March 2017.
