Aggregate Pit Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of all aggregate operations to ensure profitability, safety, quality, standards and schedule commitments are met
- Assist in the management of the personnel including dispatchers, equipment operators, labourers, maintenance and quality control.
- Assist in the allocation of the appropriate equipment and staffing resources to each location based on product demands.s
- Work closely with the Operations and Sales departments in addressing customer service requirements to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Assist with the purchasing, maintenance and repairs to company equipment as needed.span>
- Assist in investigating employee concerns and complaints, safety issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Post-Secondary education in Business or related field, or an acceptable combination of education and work experience.
- Previous experience in a management/supervisory role.
- Surface Minor Common Core Training would be an asset.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the aggregate industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, able to quickly build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ability to maintain composure in dealing with difficult situations.
- Ability to foster and grow a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrated strong problem solving skills; a self-starter.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Must be well organized, be able to multitask, and work well under pressure.
Long hours may be required during the busy season; which may include weekends or holidays.
